TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Team Leader: Underwriting within the Financial Services division at Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and develop a team of personal and commercial lines insurance advisors
• Set and monitor performance targets; identify training needs
• Build and maintain relationships with clients; oversee policy new business, renewals, and endorsements
• Ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, and other regulatory requirements
• Oversee accurate record-keeping and documentation within the team
• Implement and monitor adherence to internal policies and procedures
• Collaborate with underwriters to ensure smooth operations
• Analyse sales trends and team performance; provide reports and recommendations to management
• Assist in developing and implementing business strategies for commercial and personal insurance growth
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge
• Monthly Operational Reports
• Assist in Branch operations

Qualifications & Skills

• Matric / Grade 12
• RE5 qualification
• FAIS accreditation and compliance with CPD requirements (advantageous)
  
• NQF Level 4 or higher in Short-term Insurance
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in short-term insurance
• Experience in managing a sales and service team (advantageous)
• In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles (advantageous)
  
• Experience in a leadership role (advantageous)
  
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
